Communication & Timelines
9am – 5pm
Tuesday & Thursday
To help keep your project on track to finish on time, please provide all feedback within 3 business days of hearing from me.
I really appreciate your effort to provide files and feedback on time and to communicate within the times and days outlined on this page. Timeliness from both of us will help us get your project done on (or even before!) the deadline so you can move on to the next exciting task on your to-do list and I can cheer you on.
What to expect during your Grand Rebrand
Pay Your Deposit
Deposit paid, thank you!
Sign my contract
We’ll both need to sign my contract so that we’re fully protected before we begin working together.
I’ll add you to my project management system, Asana. This is where we’ll communicate and keep all your files and feedback. Don’t worry – I’ll provide you with a video tutorial on how to use it!
Do Your Homework
You’ll need to fill a secret Pinterest board with inspiration and answer a questionnaire. Then you’ll need to upload all your website content to Asana.
At this point, we’ll plan your content & product tie-ins (and write it, if you’re package includes the content upgrade).
1-2 weeks before your project begins, we’ll hop on a 30 minute call if you’re up for it. This is the perfect time to ask any last-minute questions you may have!
& logo design
After you pay your second invoice at the project start date I’ll begin by creating a mood board that summarizes your brand aesthetic and color palette. I’ll show you three ideas for your main logo. You’ll choose the one you like best, and then I’ll refine it over two revision rounds. Additional revisions are billed at $95/each.
Your brand board will include the other brand elements listed in your package (logo variations, sub mark, patterns and fonts etc.) You’ll get to see all the elements on one board. Then you’ll have two revision rounds to make changes.
Website design & development
I’ll design a mockup of your homepage before I start working on the live site. You’ll have one revision round to request changes. After you’ve approved it, I’ll turn it into your live site and make your other pages! You’ll then have two rounds of revisions.
I’ll fill out your 90-day content plan and integrate your product tie-ins using Trello. I’ll plan weekly blog posts
I’ll design the marketing materials to match at this point as well.
Before I hand over your final files and website, you’ll need to complete your final payment. I’ll then send you the link to a Dropbox folder containing your finalized brand files and I’ll hand your website over. You’ll also receive access to my client area where you’ll find WordPress tutorials and advice to help you maintain your website.
Don’t worry, I’m not going to leave you to figure out how to use your website all by yourself. We’ll set up a 30 minute consult call where I walk you through how to use and update your website.
optional but warmly welcomed
If you’d like to share your experience working with me with my future clients please fill out this short form.
Create a Pinterest board
On Pinterest, create and fill a public board with inspiration for your project. If you get stuck, feel free to pin from my color palette, layout, and font boards. Send me the link to your board when you’re done so I can see it! (You can delete the board once your project is complete).
If Pinterest isn’t your thing, don’t worry. You can search Google for images that resonate with the way you want your project to feel and simply upload them to the ‘Pinterest’ task inside our Asana project. Watch the video above in the ‘Project Management’ section of this page to see how to do this.
Fill out homework packet
Here’s the link to your homework packet. It will help me understand your goals and needs for this project! All documents must be completed before your project can begin.
Send me your website content
In order to stick to timeframes and deadlines set, I will need all the content for your website before I start the project. You will need to provide the text for all pages (if I’m not doing your content!) and any particular photos you want to be used on the site. You can upload these files to the ‘Homework’ task in our Asana project.
See the next section of this page to understand how to do this.
Now that you’re booked in my schedule, we’ll stop using email to have our conversation and we’ll start using my project management tool, Asana.
A project management tool is a secure space online where we have conversations, share files, set reminders, and create to-do lists.
Whereas files often get lost when I’m managing projects through email, nothing gets lost or forgotten in Asana. It’s the simplest way to keep your project organized and make sure it goes as smoothly as possible!
Don’t worry – you won’t need to pay for this tool and it’s not hard to use. Watch the video above to see a 2-minute tutorial on how to use it!
Here are a few tips on providing awesome feedback:
- Try and use bullet points to break up your feedback.
- Use headers to organize your feedback. Read over your feedback to make sure it’s clear and check that you’ve answered any questions I may have asked.
- Post your feedback as a comment on the relevant Asana discussion instead of emailing me directly. Back and forth emails can get tiring but communicating in Asana is a breeze!
- If you have team members that would like to add their feedback, I kindly ask that you gather the feedback into one message. This stops everyone from getting confused and keeps the project organized.
I really appreciate simple and straightforward feedback.
It helps me clearly understand your thoughts and make the right changes to your project.
A non-refundable 30% deposit is due to book your spot in my schedule.
30% is due the day before we start your project.
40% is due when the project is complete but before I hand over your final files.
You can also pay in full for a 5% discount on your project total.
As outlined in my contract, if your first 30% payment is late, I can put your project on hold. We can restart the project at a later date but a Rescheduling Fee ($275) will be charged.
Your final payment is due 14 days upon receipt. If payment has not been made by the 14th day, a 5% interest will be added every 7 days until your payment has been completed, starting on the 15th day.
Not yet. It takes time and good search engine optimisation (SEO) to achieve this. However, your site will be optimised for search engines and over time could get on the first page of Google for search terms related to your business.
Absolutely! At the end of your project, I offer a complimentary video walkthrough of your website as well as a Client Area fill with tutorials to help you learn how to manage and update your own website.
In short, no. I own the licenses to the font files I use in your project. However, if you’d like to purchase these fonts, just let me know and I can help!
Yes, the content package begins at $1.3k for writing your home, about, tripwire, and sales pages. It also includes copy for your ad set and and basic SEO such as page descriptions.
If you’d like to include the content package in your Grand Rebrand send me an email and I’ll prepare an additional invoice for you.
I’ll use WordPress to build your site. It’s easy for you to use on your own when the design process is finished, and I’ll help you learn how to maintain it.
These files are not included in the project. But if you do want them, let me know and I’ll create a separate invoice for the cost of these files.
Probably not. But if you find yourself losing leads and customers to competitors then you might have a trust and authority problem. A professionally designed brand & website will help.
It’s not a magical fix however, but a solid marketing strategy can get you on the right path.
After we launch your new identity & website the project will wrap up with a 90-day plan to promote your rebranded business. You’ll receive plug and play copy and images to schedule to your social media accounts.
If you’d like to continue working together, I have two monthly packages that you can subscribe to.
- Sword & Shield ($99/mo)
- Security monitoring
- Daily backups
- Bardic Arts ($179/mo)
- Sword & Shield included.
- Weekly social posts with shareable images in square, rectangle, and tall pin formats.
What happens next?
After you’ve completed everything in the Homework section of this page, we’re all set to begin your project on XX/XX/XXXX.
Click here to set up an optional 30 minute call a week or two before we begin where you can ask any last-minute questions you may have before your project starts.
I look forward to working with you!
